The College of Science and Technology (CST) successfully conducted a Website Development Training from 17 to 25 November 2025 to enhance the digital skills of its staff members. The programme, facilitated by four resource persons from (CTD), brought together 28 participants from various academic and administrative departments.

Designed for beginners, the training adopted a hands-on approach, guiding participants through the complete process of building and managing professional websites using WordPress. Staff members learned to set up and configure WordPress sites, create and organize web content, and manage pages, posts, and media. They were also introduced to selecting and installing suitable themes based on departmental needs and customizing them using the WordPress Customizer and block editor. In addition, participants gained practical experience incorporating essential website features such as navigation menus, contact forms, image galleries, and other functional elements required for an effective departmental platform.

A key outcome of the programme was that each participating department successfully developed its own website during the training period. Faculty and staff applied the skills learned to design structured, user-friendly websites that showcase academic programmes, research activities, faculty profiles, student resources, and departmental announcements. These newly created websites now serve as dedicated platforms for improved communication, enhanced visibility, and stronger engagement with students, stakeholders, and the wider community.

The training marks an important step in strengthening CST’s digital capacity and advancing the college’s ongoing efforts to improve information accessibility and institutional efficiency across all departments.
